Hi! I'm Katie- a proud mom of four sweet girls and one special angel boy watching over us from Heaven. Being a stay-at-home mom is my greatest joy, and I treasure every moment of raising my children, cheering at their sports games, and participating in church and community events.
​
I co-founded Whirlwind Creations with my mom, Karen, combining our shared passion for creating beautiful, meaningful experiences for every celebration. We work together on each and every single project, ensuring that every detail is perfectly crafted and every event feels personal and memorable. Whether it’s a luxurious grazing table, whimsical balloon display, or decadent dessert shooters, bringing joy to others through design is at the heart of everything we do.

Outside of family and work, I cherish my faith in Christ, traveling, Disney adventures, concerts, and spending time outdoors. Life is busy, full and beautiful- and I'm so grateful to share a little piece of that joy with you through Whirlwind Creations.

🌸 Meet Karen Billman
Founder & CEO
Known affectionately as “Mom” and “Gram-Gram” to her grandkids, Karen Billman brings warmth, heart, and dedication to Whirlwind Creations. She founded the business alongside her daughter, Katie, turning a family passion into a full-service event design company. When she’s not managing the fast pace of her full-time career as a CHP Dispatcher, Karen channels her creativity and love for celebration into every detail of the business.

Her joy for life shines through in everything she does — from crafting elegant charcuterie spreads and dessert shooters to designing beautiful event displays. When she’s not creating or coordinating, you’ll likely find her at a concert, traveling, camping, or hiking with her beloved weenie dogs, Daisy and Lainey. Karen’s calm nature, eye for design, and love of bringing people together are at the heart of every Whirlwind Creations experience.
